Facebook announced yesterday that it will begin rolling out call-to-action buttons on business Pages that can link to a company’s website. The seven buttons that will be available are:
- Book Now
- Contact Us
- Use App
- Play Game
- Shop Now
- Sign Up
- Watch Video
The objective behind this feature is a higher conversion from Facebook page visitors to website visitors, where there’s an increased chance they will eventually turn into customers. For real estate professionals, the button you’ll most likely use is “Contact Us” (unless of course you have a game for clients to play, in that case, use that one!)

This feature is definitely worth a try if you’re currently using a Facebook business Page. This button was tested on Dollar Shave Club’s Facebook page, where Brian Kim, Director of Acquisition for Dollar Shave Club, said they experienced a “2.5x higher conversion rate versus other comparable social placements aimed to drive user acquisition” over a 3 week test period.
Keep in mind that this feature will not be rolling out for the mobile app, so don’t plan your cover photo around the button you choose. It’s also a good practice to make sure your Facebook cover photo contrasts with the button, to make it more likely to be seen and clicked.
The feature will be expected to roll out globally over the next few weeks. Check your Facebook Page soon to use this feature when it becomes available.
